Today was a sight seeing day. We had breakfast at a small cafe near the Plaza, hailed a cab and for 60.00 pesos we were driven to the TAJIN RUINS which we found amazing. Just the scale of the complex which isn’t fully excavated yet is awesome. We are surprised that they don’t see more outside visitors but this must be off the track of most vacationers who are seeking the sun, beach and Hilton Style Hotels….boy are they missing the real Mexico. I have come to the conclusion that mostly backpackers, cyclists and moto adventurers get the real flavour of this country first hand. Breaky Cafe, eggs on bed of rice Worker still excavating Th e ball court at which during special occasions the winners of the came had the honour of loosing their heads with the blood from their bodies running from the cerimonial alter down a trough to the soil thus allowing them to give life to the earth and free them from their bodies with the spirit joining the Gods. Imagine racing home to mom….hey mom guess what….I”VE BEEN PICKED TO PLAY IN THE GAME>>>>YEA ….
