We stayed last evening at a truck stop motel………up early and on the road riding great roads with an hour of twisties until we got on the toll hwy …….finally made it to the town of Campeche where we got soaked before we could get our bikes out of the storm……we had to ride the sidewalk and angle them through the hotel doors…..my rear end slipped and patrons standing near the doorway helped me righten the bike and get it inside……By this time we were soaked head to toe and went to dinner that way….The hotel was from the 18th century, our room had no air or windows but two large shutter like doors that opened to a small balcony….we left these open all night….our cloths did not dry nor boots…..made for an unpleasant next day ride. see the bridge, beginning of a series of islands Ciudad del Carmen. villages along the way with those dreaded Topes which can be pavement or cement on many my bikes centre stand is bottoming out. These topes are often not marked and are every 150 to 500 metres depending on the size of the town or village…….in the larger towns it can be difficult to find your way out…..we are following 180 and when you enter a town you usually end up in the square at the he art of the place…..no directions on how to get out……you ask and get these big wave arm gesters…what the………are they all about the hall outside our room from ? the other end our room
Looks kind of rough.
