This morning we packed in a light drizzle…..getting the bikes out was easy compared to last evening. THE DAY for the am was overcast which made riding more comfortable than the afternoon when we took a wrong turn and ended up still on 180 but the back way to Chichen Iza…..it made for great riding but what would have taken 1 hour on the toll took us 4 hours as we passed through many villages and a couple of large towns becoming lost trying to get out again…..Though we find some of these villages poor by our standards…..the school kids are immaculate in their white uniforms…..we have observed people using wells next to the road and carrying small bundles of wood from great distances as we fly down the road.
As I sit here, typying in the outdoor bar, I am listening to a loud melody or corus of a variety of birds…its now * pm
