Our Track this morning....we were on the road by 7;30 after a good breakfast of pan, egg, juice, watermelon & instant coffee.

The route had us on the Pan American Hwy making good time despite the heavy Truck traffic which we passed on the right paved shoulder to avoid being squished by oncoming traffic. Then a Police road Block....shit we are caught but the Policia only wanted us to stop as a convoy of wind generator blades was being escorted....that was close.....passing at 80k on the right shoulder 5 trucks....
Ken took this pic from the top of a tower along the hwy......it is one of many in the area..https://www.nationalgeographic.com/archaeology-and-history/archaeology/nasca-lines/
We arrived at our hotel at noon, which I had booked on line to discover the free parking was out front and limited to about 3 spots....we have chained the bikes together with a chain Ken is carrying.
After a hot shower we walked down to the beach area just around the corner.......
A stop at a Museum which was the former home of a woman who studied the lines for 40 years. I think I got a Pic of Marie in her room poring over her notes......it is so dry here. The area receives only 20 minutes of rain per year, yet a number of fruit crops thrive here like watermelon which need water. Our host last evening told us that the area has huge Aquifers that sustain the agriculture.
Tomorrow and the balance of today are rest days, though Ken says we should try and tighten the head of my oil leaking cylinder head.
How many more days before you complete the bike portiin
