Awoke to a slight drizzle and fog.......loaded the bike, topped up the oil and went for breakfast before venturing out in rain now more than a drizzle.
The fog lifted and the rain stopped an hour or so into the ride which was a blessing as the sun dried my boots and riding gear.
On a small displacement motorcycle you find yourself looking over your shoulder to be sure a car or bus isn't bearing down on you.......motos for the most part are designated to the right shoulder and you really need to watch for oncoming traffic 2 and sometimes 3 abreast at corners.
Inside the house 15 minutes from my location on Monday....they don't like the rain and seek shelter inside.......will make sure to barricade any openings under my door tonight........
I was still having problems navigating to get back to Canoa as I tried to recall landmarks near intersections or round abouts involving turns in the right direction.......did need help all in Spanish but that was one sided...so I always got a second opinion if I was in doubt.
It started to rain 30 k from Canoa but not heavy until I made my destination at 2pm...so 6 hours since leaving Mindo.
I am totally lost without my GPS or paper map which I have been unable to find....yes their are signs but you better know all the towns and villages along your route..........which I didn't....
Now waiting for the mechanic to come and take my moto por un servicio completo ........including tearing into the cam shaft to make sure it is 100%.
