Gary had planned a 4 day round trip to an Island where he spent part of his youth. The trip was with 2 sons, a son'n law and his friend Ken....I was invited to round out the numbers for room sharing...haha
We left from Gary's residence just prior to noon...the late start as one of Gary's sons' Dana drove up from Prince Edward Island and likely needed to sleep in.....Dana is a retired RCMP Officer with a very interesting career having travelled the World protecting a former Prime Minister and his Cabinet Ministers.
Our 1st stop would be Stayner for lunch...then on to Owen Sound for our 1st night and an early trip to the Harley Dealer....

Next morning on route to Tobermory where we had a 3pm Ferry to catch, we stopped for a break in Wiarton....the home of Famed Wiarton Willie the Groundhog famous for predicting either an early Spring or further blast of Winter
We had taken the more scenic route along Georgian Bay with less traffic...
Our arrival in Tobermory was early; meaning we had a 4 hour wait and took advantage of
the time to tour the village.
The crossing was just over 1 hour in fair weather......we would spend our second night in South Bay Mouth.
Early morning with a late breakfast as I had suggested Breaky at Mum's a bakery in Mindemoya with home style cooking...so after coffee we hit the pavement.
After breakfast we headed for the west end of the Island...the lighthouse point. I would lead part of the way taking them on some of the beautiful paved back roads.....one went by Silver Lake and it was here where Ken's GEO cache radar picked up the scent of Cache. After spending what seemed like an hour Ken emerged from a tree with the find...a BIG SMILE on his face....
We had reached our destination.....here Ken located yet another Cache. We checked out the camp sites for future RV consideration then headed back towards Little Current with a stop at a small roadside cafe for a delicious lunch.
We arrived at Little Current near 5 pm . Dinner would be around 630 at Green Acres just 7 k down the road...a place I have RV camped the last number of years.
In the morning after a generous breakfast at the Inn we headed for Sudbury then on wards to home....About a 4 hour trip due in part to traffic and construction
