Alaska Day 14 550k

Left Delta Junction Alaska about 9 am……turn up the Top of the World Hwy which runs over to Dawson City. The road was initially paved but turned to hard packed and loose gravel near Chicken AK. Now Chicken is the centre of a Gold Strike back in the late 1800’s and has a year round pop of 11…..so I am told. In the winter the road is not kept open. It is roughly 100 miles to Dawson City and the same in the other direction.

  1. Many more...its hard to ride when you see so much you want to keep on snapping.....rode over 1oo miles of gravel yesterday...weather was great though I did ride most of the pavement in the rain.
