Week before departure- March 21/26th 2019

Spent the past few days enjoying the beach , prepping the bike for it's return to Ishia and a good deal of time at the Canoa Beach Hotel for a few cervezas' with Johnny, Julia and Alla as well as Greg the owner of said hotel.

 my ride waiting in front of my hostel for Ishia to pick up while I wait with a cerveza across the street. Tomorrow I catch a bus to Guayaquil for my flight to Lima Peru where I will wait 6 hours for my overnight flight to Toronto Ontario.

Trip to Cojimies-March 17 2019 / La Mana March 19/20 2019

Sunday Julia planned a trip to the beach town of Cojimies which is about 133 k from Canoa

 This was a full day with stops along the way for photos and lunch at the beach....we checked out a beautiful gated community on the way back near Jama.......complete with tennis courts and an infinity pool over looking the ocean. Pictures will follow as soon as I can get them off the phone...having a technical problem.

Tuesday we took a trip to La Mana in the hills east of Canoa.

 we left close to noon arriving around 7 in the dark. We were greeted by the owner of the lodge who had become acquainted with Julia last year when she stayed at his lodge and ended up treating a number of friends for back problems. He wouldn't accept any money for our stay.

 we spent a lot of time weaving through the political rallies in each town and city which included using the sidewalks ....our return route to Canoa

 finished the day partying at the Canoa beach hotel....John, Julia, Kathy ,Tom and forgot the names of the rest.....this group is headed out to the micro brewery tomorrow.
